Lea Walker

We are pleased to announce Lea Walker has joined the Creative Underwriters Transportation Team!

Beginning April 14th, Lea joined Creative as a Transportation Underwriter. Lea began her insurance career in 1988 at a large national insurance carrier and later moved to a retail insurance agency position. Most recently she headed up Transportation Underwriting at a general agency branch.


Lea is a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Mathematical Economics. She is presently pursuing her CIC designation.

Her unique experience at company, retail agency and general agency insurance positions will make her a valuable part of our team. Lea’s experience with transportation markets and producers will allow her to quickly assist you, our agents.

We have now completed our conversion from paper to paperless. As we are now a digital office, our underwriters have immediate access to all inforce policy information. This will enhance our responsiveness and enable real time issuance of policies, renewals and endorsements for those agents that are ready. This can save several days off of delivery time when not depending on ground paper mail. Your commercial clients may prefer receiving digital policy information as well in lieu of paper. This digital office initiative is in line with our goals of providing expertise and state of the art service.

Creative Underwriters was again recognized at the AAMGA annual meeting as meeting requirements needed for "Certified Managing General Agency" designation (CMGA).
